If you puff up a steep narrow road for about a kilometer, you will come to this municipal exercise park in the hills. Getting there guarantees fitness.

Hikers regularly tramp through Sungsim College up to the hill trails behind it. They all wear the "hiker's uniform".

Scattered around the hills are many small shrines. Shamanism is strong. This grotto is visited by women tinkling bells. They open the entrance, and offer a libation of mountain water and oranges.
