1. Do you like to travel?

你喜欢旅游吗? 

Nǐ xǐhuan lǚyóu ma ?


2. Most people say “yes”, but it is not really clear what they mean.

大多数人说“是”,但他们不是真的清楚他们所指的意思。 

Dà duōshù rén shuō “shì”, dàn tāmen bùshì zhēn de qīngchu tāmen suǒ zhǐ de yìsi.


3. There is an old saying that the journey is more important than the destination.

有句老话说:旅程比目的地更重要。 

Yǒu jù lǎo huàshuō: Lǚchéng bǐ mùdì de gèng zhòngyào.



4. That is true about life generally, but only sometimes true about travelling.

这對”生活” 一般来说是真的;但只有某些时后反应在旅行上。 

Zhè duì” shēnghuó” yībān lái shuō shì zhēn de; dàn zhǐyǒu mǒu xiē shí hòu fǎnyìng zài lǚxíng shàng.



5. Most people on planes and trains and ships and buses seem afraid to talk to strangers.

大多数的人似乎害怕在飞机, 火车,轮船和巴士上和陌生人说话。 

Dà duō shǔ de rén sìhū hàipà zài fēijī, huǒchē, lúnchuán hé bāshì shàng hé mòshēng rén shuōhuà.



6. Therefore I wonder why they did not stay safely at home.

因此,我想知道为什么他们不留在安全地在家里。  

Yīncǐ, wǒ xiǎng zhīdào wèishéme tāmen bù liú zài ānquán de zài jiālǐ.



7. I’ve had some very interesting conversations with complete strangers whom I never expected to see again.

在飞往昆明时, 我了解一个中国烟草机械工程师的生活故事。

Zài fēi wǎng kūnmíng shí, wǒ liǎo jiè yīgè zhōngguó yāncǎo jīxiè gōngchéngshī de shēnghuó gùshì.



10. Long ago, in a train between Mashad and Teheran, I even joked with the son of an Irani general.

很久以前,我甚至和一个伊拉尼将军的儿子在马什哈德和德黑

兰之间的火车上开玩笑。 

Hěnjiǔ yǐqián, wǒ shèn zhì hé yīgè yī lā ní jiāngjūn de érzi zài mǎ shén hā dé hé dé hēi Lán zhī jiān de huǒchē shàng kāiwánxiào.
