Crazy Conversations for Learning English  - Thor May 2007

note: The scenes in these conversations are mostly a little crazy, silly or stupid. That makes them easier to remember ! Please act a bit crazy when you do them. Especially use extra stress in your intonation, and join phrases into tone groups. Do not speak word by word !

1. Mosquitoes are Dangerous

+ Why are you hiding behind that curtain?

- It's a dangerous world. You have to be careful.

+ What are you afraid of ?

- You never know what might get you.

+ Mm. That's right. You might be bitten by a mosquito.

- Yes yes. A mosquito can give you malaria.

+ Hey, come on! This is Korea.
By the way, mosquitoes often hide in curtains.

- Yaah! Where is it safe? Now I'm really worried.

+ Why are you worried?

- Maybe a mosquito bit me and I didn't feel it.
  Maybe I'll get malaria.

+ I think you need to see a head doctor.
