(…two foreigners talking)

Thor May; translation by 박준영

+ Do you know where I can get oatmeal in Chungju?

- You can’t get oatmeal in Chungju.

+ That’s crazy. What do you mean?

- Almost every country in the world sells oatmeal in supermarkets

- China, USA, Europe, Africa… you name it.

But you can’t get it in South Korea.

+ Sigh. Talk about living on another planet. No oatmeal, no mint, no decent bread…

- Oh, it’s not so bad here.

You know, my immigrant students in Australia used to complain all the time.

Complaining is a normal foreigner disease, like catching a cold.

+ OK, you win. Let’s be happy.

Hey, do you know where I can buy cheap vitamin pills in Chungju?

- You can’t buy cheap vitamins in Korea.

The supermarkets don’t sell them…

+ Oh no! Here we go again…
