1. You are given $10 with a strict condition: you must spend it within three days. What would you buy? Explain why.

2. You are given $100 with a strict condition: you must spend it within three days. What would you buy? Explain why.

3. You are given $1,000 with a strict condition: you must spend it within three days. What would you buy? Explain why.

4. You are given $10,000 with a strict condition: you must spend it within a week. What would you buy? Explain why.

5. You are given $100,000 with a strict condition: you must spend it within three days. What would you buy? Explain why.

6. You are given $1 billion with a strict condition: you must spend it within three months. What would you buy? Explain why.

7. Charity is 8% of the Australian economy and employs 10% of the workforce (bigger than mining or farming). Australia has 50,000+ charities and employs 3 million volunteers. .... So, why do people volunteer for charities, and why do people give money to charities? What kind of charities do you like or dislike?

8. Hardly anyone thinks they are paid too much ^_^ . How would you spend the money if your salary was doubled? What do you expect your maximum lifetime salary to be?

9. Do you think the people in rich countries are happier than the people in poor countries? Why or why not? Give some examples.

10. At the beginning of the Covid pandemic, the Federal Government gave companies money to keep people employed (Jobkeeper). This was popular. However the government also gave $20 billion to some companies which were not in trouble, but making extra profits, and those companies kept the money. Why do you think the government did this with taxpayers' money?
