<> I have been contracted as a Visiting Professor in Applied Linguistics since September 2003 by the TESOL Unit of Pusan University of Foreign Languages. This job is about lecturing Linguistics and ESL Methodology to Korean teachers who wish to undertake Masters Degree study overseas. The course is cross credited with a number of such degree courses in America and elsewhere.

<> Qualifications: Currently I have an unfinished second PhD in Cognitive Linguistics at the University of Melbourne, Australia. I hold a Masters degree in Formal & Applied Linguistics (based on my first, non-completed PhD research at the University of Newcastle, NSW). I also have a Postgraduate Diploma of Teaching, and a RSA/Cambridge CTEFLA.

<> My teaching and lecturing experience extends from 1976 (tertiary from 1978), in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, China and South Korea. Twelve years of this involved lecturing linguistics (part & full time). The remainder was teaching EFL/ESL, mostly to adults.

<> I am an experienced editor, especially in assisting writers whose first language is not English (see my commercial page : The Plain & Fancy Language Company).

<> Other major interests are writing, web authoring, and distance running.
