note: my present knowledge of these languages ranges from native speaker (English) to mere basic greeting (Japanese, Spanish). "Knowing" a language, except perhaps a mother tongue, is apt to slip and slither from day to day. Sooner or later, maybe in this world, I'll have some functional ability in some of the above ... The bio translations are a kind of basic starting point since if you can't even say a little about yourself, then you are truly struck dumb.
